The Cinderella story of Chinese squad Wings Gaming has come to an abrupt end. The squad who had a meteoric rise from its beginnings as a team of pubstars in late 2014 to TI6 Champions is nothing short of spectacular. Despite their recent struggles, they have catapulted themselves to the upper echelons of competitive Dota 2.

In a shocking turn of events, the Wings organization had to let go of their Dota squad after a catastrophe involving their League of Legends franchise costed them roughly $3,000,000 in losses. A post in Weibo went viral and Killping.com released a report affirmed the development. The details of the deal are still unsure but it dealt such a severe blow to the organization that they had to let go of proven champions.

The enigmatic roster led by bLink and shadow will now play under the supposed name Team Random. No official statement from the roster has been released. More on this as the story develops.
