The world was already familiar with Australia’s capability to produce international level Dota 2 talents thanks to Anathan “ana” Pham and Damien “kpii” Chok. But when Can’t Say Wips announced their disbandment last year, the country’s competitive Dota 2 scene stagnated and was underrepresented.

Then came a fresh squad from Australia named Skatemasters. Not much is known about this team except for the fact that they were able to compete at The International 2017 SEA Qualifiers by being the sole contestant at the SEA Champions Qualifiers.

After a winless stint at The International 2017 SEA Qualifiers, followers of the Dota 2 scene believed that Skatemasters never deserved the slot. But the Australian squad knew that their operation was not built solely around luck, especially since they dominated the ASUS ROG Masters 2017 Australia New Zealand Qualifier.

Skatemasters will be coming to the ASUS ROG Masters 2017 APAC Regional Qualifiers with a good chance to win. They are hiding in the shadows of stronger teams, patiently waiting for the perfect time to strike down an unguarded foe.

On October 25-29, Skatemasters will be at the SMX Convention to battle against Asia Pacific’s best Dota 2 teams and represent Australia for ASUS ROG Masters 2017 APAC Regional Qualifiers.

The ASUS ROG Masters 2017 APAC Regional Qualifiers will be on October 26-29 at SMX Convention Center. Admission is free.
