The Boston Major has officially concluded with OG being crowned as the first champions of this Valve Dota 2 season!

After a tough campaign that saw them pitted against SEA-region heroes MVP Phoenix and WarriorsGaming.Unity, then NA counterpart Evil Geniuses, and lastly vanquishing tournament breakout superstar team Ad Finem, the champions of EU Dota 2 have claimed the Eaglesong for this 7th season of Dota.

This marks the third Majors win for the organization along with staple players N0tail and captain Fly, after their famous dark horse run through the Frankfurt Major, and then the Manila Major. The Boston major victory is also off the back of the team's post-TI6 shuffle which saw their star carry Miracle- moving to Team Liquid. MoonMeander and Crit- also left the team's roster to join Digital Chaos and Evil Geniuses respectively, which both also made it to the top 4 at the Boston Major.

The rest of the new OG squad performed exceptionally during the tournament, with ana adequately filling in the gap that Miracle- left behind, s4 with his usual dependable performance in the off-lane, and of course MVP contender of the tournament JerAx with play after fantastic play (particularly on his signature Earth Spirit in the finals series against Ad Finem).

With this win, OG has once again resurfaced as a serious contender on the world stage and for the eventual The International 7 (after their unlikely elimination from The International 6).

The next Major will be the Kiev Major, which is currently scheduled for April of 2017.
