Top Filipino teams Mineski-Dota and Execration were direct invites to the ASUS ROC SEA Cup alongside Team Faceless.

This trio of powerhouse Southeast Asian teams will compete against Thai teams Signature.Trust, Neolution E-Sport, Eagles-eye, Typhoon Gaming, and PleaseReportTimbersaw.Reborn for a prize pool of roughly $15,000 (P750,000).

This minor LAN is organized by Beyond Godlike will take place tomorrow until Sunday.

The last time the Manila El Clasico met was in the semi-finals of the MPGL S8 Dota 2 Championship Leg. This will be a different fight however since both Mineski's long-time player Bimbo and Execration's new addition 343 will not be competing. Instead Joel Chan "chibix" Jian Yong will be replacing Bimbo, and recent Acion Arena captain and former Mineski player Owa will be replacing 343.

That said, this will also be both teams' first tournament played on patch 7.00 since its release, and it will be interesting to see how their familiar playstyles have adapted to the new era of Dota 2 (Monkey King picks anyone?).

For Mineski and Execration, two PH teams so used to playing each other, this will be yet another opportunity for them to duke it out in a tournament. Despite this being only a minor tournament, expect both teams to bring a good fight as players from each side will want to air out their Boston Major frustrations.
