Execration finally made an emphatic comeback at the competitive scene after being gone for a significantly long time. The resurgent squad is moving in to The International 7 SEA Qualifiers after coming out on top of more than 1000 teams in the SEA Open Qualifiers #1, early Saturday morning.
Their path to regional qualifiers, however, wasn’t that easy as Execration, who debuted their roster in the same qualifier, needed to weave through multiple rising SEA teams like the Ng “Yamateh” Wei Poong and Nico “Eyyou” Barcelon-empowered o2esports, TToTT, and a powerhouse in the form of WarriorsGaming.Unity.
With the most explosive Filipino player, Ryan Jay “raging-_-potato” Qui, joining forces with Kimuel "kim0" Rodis, Fernando "Nando" Mendoza, James "Cartman/James" Palatolon John, and Ralph Richard "RR" Peñano, Execration was undeniably one of the most sought-after teams. That is why when they swept Nasty Potatoes in the impromptu Battle of the Potatoes, the SEA Regionals surely just got feistier.
More than the competency, Execration’s qualification also added another Philippine representative to the SEA Regional Qualifiers. They will join Clutch Gamers, Happy Feet, and TNC Pro Team on the endeavor to raise the Philippine flag at the main stage of The International 7.
As of publication time, the second leg of the Open Qualifiers is on its way. The final slot will complete all 10 teams for the SEA Qualifiers which will commence on June 26-30.
