Dragons and Dragonslayers of Kraków

In Poland, there was a legend of its foundation. A dragon once tormented the villagers on the hillside of Wawel, killing their daughters and wrecking havoc to the village. A cobbler, not a knight, not even part of a militia, was able to slain the dragon using his ingenuity and the rest, as they say, is history.

Welcome to the Kraków Major where dragons and dragonslayers will fight for supremacy in this week long battle.

The Dragons (Legends)

These teams have fought their way through to the playoffs of the ELEAGUE Atlanta Major earlier this year and are looking to retain their Legend status. Astralis, the defending champion, are looking to defend their title against would be adversaries., the hometown squad, are in hot pursuit of getting the title on home soil. A potential rematch between VP and Astralis might ensue. Fnatic, Natus Vincere, North and FaZe Clan, all of which lost their stride these past tournaments are looking to redeem themselves in the upcoming major. The Brazilian Titans SK Gaming are, on the other hand, looking to bag another title under their belt and keep the Brazilian Era alive.

The Dragonslayers (Challengers)

Cloud9 came short of a victory during ESL One Cologne 2017, getting only second place in the competition, they are looking to keep their hot streak into the major and hopefuly get a title. As the only North American team in the tournament, C9 is looking to get a title for the US on foreign soil after over a decade of losses. G2 Esports and Mousesports are looking to get back their Legend Status after falling short multiple times throughout the years. Immortals, Penta Sports, BIG, Vega Squadron and FlipSid3 Tactics on the other hand qualified for the tournament and are looking to get their names in the league and not be labeled as tier 2/3 teams.
