SEA's elite look to rep the region in Dota Pit S5

Wings and DC get Direct Invites

The next season of Dota Pit is set for January 19-22, 2017. The beautiful Port City of Split, Croatia will once again play host to some excellent Dota. TI6 Grand Finalists Wings Gaming and Digital Chaos are the lone invites to the event.

The qualifiers are set to begin on October 15 with the CIS regionals.This marks the first taste of Dota Pit action we will get this season. Natus Vincere is the most tested team in this group so it will be a big shame if they don't make it through.

The NA Qualifiers will begin on November 2. CompLexity Gaming's enigmatic captain Kyle melonzz Freedman looks to right his majorly overhauled ship. But with DC getting a Direct Invite, Evil Geniuses look to be the team to beat in the battle of America.

The Chinese Qualifier schedule has yet to be finalized as of writing. The Chinese groups remain tightly contested but it looks to be between Newbee and EHOME for the Shanghai Showdown.

The EU Qualifiers which begin on October 19 will be granting two slots at Spit. Team Liquid and OG look primed to take their respective groups. OG's new roster did well in their maiden debut at MDL 2016. While Team Liquid's superstar combination of Kuro Kuroky Takhasomi and Amer Miracle Barqawi will surely be making headlines.

The SEA Qualifiers, which begin on November 3, features Mineski.GGNetwork and Execration, two sides that will be hoping to banner the Philippines in Croatia. Korean side MVP.Phoenix and Malaysia-based Fnatic round up the SEA hopefuls.

Mineski.GGNetwork are yet to pick up a major win since acquiring the services of Singaporean superstar Galvin Meracle Jian Wen. Jay raging potato Qui looks to affirm himself as a capable captain. Mark Cast Pilar was Mineski's most consistent captain and raging potato still looks to surpass him.

MVP.Phoenix claimed the crown in Dota Pit Season 4 against Evil Geniuses and jump started their fiery form on the road to TI6. Ultimately, the SEA Group remains to be close cut with no clear winner.
