From Dec. 15 to 17, Blizzard will hold quite the interesting tournament. The Overwatch Heroes Rumble Taiwan will gather four professional teams and four celebrity Overwatch captains from across North America and Europe to duke it out.

The pro teams in attendance will be Blank Esports, Flash Wolves, Hong Kong Attitude and Machi Esports. While Dylan “aKm” Bignet from France, Brian “Kephrii” St. Pierre from the US, Liam “Mangachu” Campbell from Canada, and Joonas “zappis” Alakurtti from Finland will be the special guest captains who will be forming their own teams from the ground up.

The three-day tournament has a very unique format. The single-elimination tournament will be played in best-of-five series for the quarterfinals and semifinals, with the finals moving over to a best-of-seven series.

But the matches aren't just limited standard play. Instead, each game has a different game mode. The modes will be from the traditional 6v6 Competitive to the tense 4v4 Team Deathmatch. A 1v1 Limited Duel will also be used during the tournament. Captain vs captain? Looks cool in my book.

This is one of the wackiest tournaments in Overwatch to date as it tries to use the game to its full potential. So if you’re a fan of Overwatch Esports, you definitely should check it out. Tune in to the Blizzard Taiwan Live Stream to catch the match-ups from home on Dec. 15-17!
