The major competitive League of Legends tournaments are starting off one by one, as the 2017 Season of LoL Esports gets into full swing. The most recently established major league, the LMS, is set to start in 2 days with the region's top two teams ahq e-Sports Club and Flash Wolves facing off in the first best-of-two series of the year.

The Case of the Wolves

The Wolves rose to prominence in last year's LMS season where they upset AHQ in the Spring Split to qualify for the 2016 Mid Season Invitational. FW put up a strong outing at MSI, consistently causing problems for the tournament favorites SK Telecom T1. Their success carried over into the Summer Season where they dominated the competition for their 2nd consecutive LMS championship, and a Worlds 2016 qualifier slot. They failed to make it out of the group stage, in a swift elimination at the hands of SKT. AHQ is in a similar boat, having performed poorly in the same international event.

The recent performances of the LMS teams have not helped in building trust in their fans, especially following the turbulent downfall of the former world champions Taipei Assassins, who are now known as J Team. The LMS needs to step up in this 2017 season of League of Legends to redeem themselves. Stick with us here at Mineski.net for all the LMS updates.
