Mineski Christmas Cup 2011 Updates

We've smelled the spirit of Christmas that's why we gave you the MINESKI CHRISTMAS CUP 2011. But the Santa Clause of E-Sports doesn't want it to end.

 

MG DotA Open and MI Dragon Nest Open extended to 32 slots

Mineski Events Team doesn't want only few kids (KIDS?! really?!) to enjoy the event so we're extending the slots for the Mineski Grounds DotA Open Tournament and Mineski Infinity Taft Dragon Nest Open Tournament. We've realized that Christmas is the season for giving. So instead of giving only 16 teams the chance to participate we've doubled it up to 32 teams!

But wait! Since more players will be playing on the event we've decided to throw in some "gifts" for those "Kids" that can really bring their A-game. E-Santa Claus decided to bring the prizes up to P14,600 PLUS Freebies for MG DotA and P5,400 PLUS Freebies for DN and the sought after PGF Shirts & Ballers for each member of the Champion Teams. 

 

9AM Call Time

Be sure to be on time because E-Santa doesn't want to wait. Being on time is still a requirement to be a "good" kid. All registered teams should be at the venue by 9AM, when a registered team doesn't show up, back-ups will be called. Back-up teams should be there by 9:20AM. To those who want to register through walk-in, you should be there by 9:40AM. Remember that registration will be closed by 10AM so better hurry up.

 

DotA XMas Champs Playoffs

If you think E-Santa is already done, you're dead wrong! Because E-Santa doesn't want just "GOOD KIDS" he wants the BEST. So for him to know who's the best, he will have another test!

All of the Mineski Christmas Cup DOTA Champions (MI Taft, MI LP Students, MI LP Open, MI Cebu, MI CDO, Mineski Grounds, Portal Sta Mesa, Portal Cubao) will have the chance to have a share of the $1000 (PhP40,000) prize pool. More details concerning this will be announced next week!

 

Dragon Nest Ruleset Unveiled

UPDATE: Changed elimination stage format from 8-man double elims to 16-man single elims

And for all the kids who's been waiting for the Dragon Nest tournament rules, worry no more. Mineski-Events Team unveiled the rules of the Dragon Nest's Open Tournament.

 

Number of Players: 4v4

Map Selection: Lost Temple,  Canyon  and Snow Field. (Toss Coin) winner will choose the map 

Mode:
- Arranged
- Best-of-1 (Best-of-3 for finals)
- each set is 3 rounds (5 rounds for finals)
- no invasion
- no items
- player HP shown

Server: We will be using Special Server 

Format:
Group Stage - groups of 4, round robin per group, only 1 advances
Elimination Stage - 16-man single elimination

Gameplay:
- Players will be using Tournament Accounts
- Character level 32
- Players will be given 5 minutes to change their hotkeys “BEFORE” the game
- Players are forbidden to change their skill tree during a match.
- Each member of a team must have different classes
- Players cannot change their classes during the tournament.
- The team can sign-up for replacement players before the tournament, but will be unable to change their players during a match. 

Victory Conditions:
- First team to kill all of the opponent's members is considered winner
- If time out, the team with the most alive members win.
- If time out, and both team have the same amount of alive members, the team with the highest team hp wins.

Equipment:
- No upgrades.
- No potentials.
- No crafted.
- No Heraldry.

 

Christmas is really a season to be merry and here in Mineski we want yours to be a happy one too.
