The trio of Meeko Elijah Ramos, Norberto Ramos III, and Rysher Magbanua went up against Team Indonesia as the tournament's opening match. Despite being considered underdogs in the matchup, Team Philippines went on a decisive 2 - 0 victory against the Indonesians.

They then proceeded to win against Team Malaysia, coming back from a 1 - 0 deficit after losing the first KoF round.

Here are the standings of the teams after day one:

Ranking Team Win/loss Points
1  Philippines 2 - 0 6
1  China 2 - 0 6
3  Indonesia 1 - 1 3
3  Malaysia 1 - 1 3
6  Korea 0 - 2 0
6  Singapore 0 - 2 0

The early lead of Team Philippines gives them a huge chance to take the championship, although nothing is certain as they still have to face three teams tomorrow. Arguably the greatest challenge for them are the crowd favorites team China.

The battle is far from over, so let us keep on supporting Team Philippines by watching the stream here. Matches start at 9:00 AM Philippine time. Once again, good luck, heroes! Bring the championship home! Tiwala lang, ‘bus yan!
