As the world Dota community is focused on ESL ONE Genting's homestretch, a new Pinoy powerhouse has just been revealed.

This season, five Filipinos will be flying out to Malaysia, where they will play under the banner of Clutch Gamers, founded by Jaseem 'Gangser' Khan, the man who was also responsible for establishing the Power Gaming's MY-based Dota team from 2016.

After spending most of 2016 bouncing between Acion Arena and Rave, under-the-radar captain FlySolo has been tasked to lead yet another group of local upstarts hungry to make their mark on the scene. Having already set himself apart from most of his peers by leading his old team Raging WePlay to a Class S spot here in the Philippines, will this finally be the team that lets loose the wrath of the so-called drafting mastermind upon the rest of the world?

FlySolo brings with him his old comrade from Rave, AB1NG, a young and talented carry whose experience playing under FlySolo's command provides a stable base for the team's development.

A third former Rave player, Rapy will be joining as the team's offlaner, eager to prove his talent once more, fresh off of a short and underwhelming run with local top dogs Execration, where the pressure of playing for a big name team seems to have gotten to him.

Meanwhile, former AcA midlaner Armel, who was perhaps the best playmaking core in the country playing outside of the Big 3 teams, reunites with his former captain FlySolo. Armel was a crucial factor in the latter's rise to prominence, as it was his last-minute addition to the old Pasay-based WePlay squad that allowed FlySolo to command his first team into the Class S of the MPGL all the way back in 2015.

OLD BUT GOLD: All about teamwork: WePlay and their ongoing meteoric rise to the top

Rounding off this new and exciting team is Cebuano Dota legend Boombacs, whose experience under successful teams such as Arcanys should prove to be a valuable asset for this team filled mostly with up and coming youngsters. A former captain of multiple teams of his own, Boombacs will stand shouler-to-shoulder with FlySolo as the other half of the team's support duo.
