As you all know, four of the grand total of 16 slots up for grabs for the Dota2 ACG Qualifiers to be held this coming October 27-28 during the Pinoy Gaming Festival have already been taken by Pagibig.TnC, MSIEvolutionGT, Team Crucio, and Team Ambush, who all finished in the top four of the MIOT Dasmariñas Dota2 event.
But last weekend, another 3 seeds were awarded to those who would be able to prove themselves worthy: One (1) seed to the Champion of the first online qualifier, and two (2) tickets to the PGF for the top two finishers of the MI Morayta Lan Qualifiers.
Online Qualifier #1
The day before the Lan Qulifier, over 50 teams battled it out online for the first Online Qualifier seed. As teams racked wins left and right, the final four was eventually formed by Unorthodox going up against InzomniaBG, and UGZ going up against Fulltilt. But with only one spot being on the line, they were further filtered down to two, with InzomniaBG and UGZ moving on to the finals. The latter would secure themselves the PGF spot, after a down-to-the wire 2-1 victory over the former.
Lan Qualifier
Meanwhile, at Mineski Infinity Morayta last Sunday, it was teams Phantom and last night's top 4 finisher Fulltilt racing to the grand finals of the hotly contested event, to secure themselves a trip to SMX Convention Hall less than two weeks from now. Despite already having qualified for the main event, both teams showed no signs of letting up, clashing at full force in the finals, with Phantom getting the better side of the battle.
