Pag-Ibig.TNC, one of our country's top DotA 2 teams, has managed to overcome all odds after winning the GEST Philippine Qualifiers yesterday. The said qualifiers that catered 32 teams in all, was a star-studded one as Pacific.Emaxx, Neolution.E-Sport.PH, and MSIEvoGT participated as well.
When four teams (MSIEvoGT vs PagIbig.TNC, Mafia^Gaming vs Ambush) remained to compete against each other for the finals slot, predictions that all the remaining matches would be something worth watching came. As for MSIEvoGT vs Pag-Ibig.TNC, their match was ideed a spectacular one, as both teams showed their might in the competitive DotA2 scene. Eventually MSIEvoGT fell short against Pag-Ibig.TNC, making the latter advance to the finals against Mafia^Gaming.
During the best of two finals, Pag-Ibig.TNC showed no signs of stopping, as they toppled down Mafia^Gaming during games one and two; making them one of the four Filipino teams to compete alongside other Asian countries for the GEST Dota2 tournament proper.
