The end of the fourth season of the hottest Dota league in the country is almost upon us!
With the Pinoy Gaming Festival, the biggest e-sports event in the Philippines, set to take place a little over a month from now, the top teams in Luzon are getting ready for the final stretch, trying to secure berths into the grand finals of the DotA GIGABYTE Mineski Pro-Gaming League. And they shall attempt to do this by looking towards a strong finish, as the last regular leg of the DotA GMPGL, leg 4-9, is set to happen this coming weekend, September 29 - 30.
Though the top 5 teams in the GMPGL Class S rankings already pretty much set for the PGF, four of them shall continue to duel in search of better rankings: Dreamz LedionSS, Pacific eMaxx, MSI Evolution GT, and iZone GIGABYTE. Current fifth placer QUBE Sweetopia was relegated to Class A last month, but they are still poised to go to SMX Convention Hall 3.
But probably, the biggest story this weekend is Pacific Palit and MI PowerColor's battle for the last direct seed, as the latter needs to outscore the former by at least 9 points to take the sixth spot. It is interesting to note that Mineski just re-qualified into Class S last month.
Aside from this, look forward to even more Class A teams battling it out, trying to secure for themselves Class S spots for next season by topping their event.
