With the days before the Pinoy Gaming Festival dwindling down ever so rapidly, we must now look upon who among our compatriots from outside the capital managed to conquer their respective areas, as it is they who will representing the south in what people regard as PGF's main event: the National GIGABYTE Mineski Pro-Gaming League DotA Championship!

So who are these elite few that will have to face the Class S titans from NCR? Find out by reading below!

Team Loseless secured themselves a trip to PGF, as they ended the season with four, that's right FOUR straight championships, proving that they are indeed Cebu's best fighting chance come the championships this coming October. With 172 points, they showed that there is no other team in Cebu that can maintain tip-top form for extended periods of time.

Despite the fact that KupunanNiEugene's last GMPGL championship came 3 legs ago, during the 4-6 leg, it would seem that their victories in the beginning of the season, along with their second-place finish in the final leg, are enough to book them their plane tickets to Manila. Though they displayed extreme dominance at the beginning of the season, they have lied low during the last few months. They have to get back to their old form and top that if they wish to stand a chance against the teams from the rest of the country.

G7 (left) and Noty (right)

The last edition of the Dipolog GMPGL started with Noty atop the rankings, followed by G7, albeit the difference between the two teams was not that small. In fact, it was because of this cushion that Noty had over G7 that managed to give the former the top ladder spot over the latter despite their loss in the finals. When the sun had gone down and the computers were vacated, G7 had won the battle in the GMPGL 4-8, but it was Noty that won the season war; a constant reminder that the GMPGL rewards not only the streaky teams, but also those who remain consistent throughout the season. But like KNE, Noty would have to step up their game in time for the PGF!

Since MI Tuguegarao opened late into the year, it only had two GMPGL legs. Two legs, however, would be more than enough for SGaming (formerly Gangnam Style) to showcase their tight grip on the Tuguegarao DotA scene. Probably one of the biggest dark horses of the PGF, with the sheer scarcity of games we've seen from them, we can't really say how they will fare.

Those are the four teams that will be clashing against the giants from the capital. Can they make an upset and take the championship? Find out this coming PGF!
