Last Sunday, National Cyber Collegiate League's Conference 1 finally came to a close. And despite the heavy rain that time, nothing can stop the teams that are vying to compete next October at the second season of the Pinoy Gaming Festival. Here's a quick read of the events that took place during the closing leg of Conference 1.

Cubao -- At the best-of-three finals match-up, FBX-TJ was in the brink of having only a three-peat title as So What forced a do-or-die game three. But because of their championship composure, FBX-TJ proved So What that winning against them for the 1st time is just sheer-luck.

Taft -- After a 7-team battle royal happened at Mineski Grounds, Pino (CSB) and Hybrid (PCU) stood among the others to face each other in the finals. Considering their 0-loss record during the group stage matches, Pino proved to Hybrid that they are the worthy team to represent MG for next month by winning against them and grabbing the title.

Legarda A -- Lucky and Friends (SBC-M) shared the same will to win during their leg in Mineski Infinity Legarda. Having a 0-loss record during the group stage matches, and winning against Atoymic Bomb (CEU) during the semis, Lucky and Friends had no thoughts of letting go of the top spot by not giving Boombastik (TIP-M) any win during their best-of-three finals match-up.

But during the Morayta Leg at Mineski Infinity Morayta, tension started to erupt real fast as TSW (FEU) forced Bleach (FEU) to tie-breaking best-of-three match after winning against them during the final leg on that same day. Proven as one of the most epic rivalries during this second season, they showed that no team in the Morayta Leg can match their determination to represent the school that they belong to. But TSW showed Bleach that being the defending champions of the NCCL, nothing can stop them on their goal of defending the title that they've won last season.

Meanwhile in Las Piñas and in Katipunan, the championship streak of MILP.Perps and IIC came to an end as Havey (UPHSD) won against team Nameless during the best-of-five finals and IICD against IIC during their best-of-three finals respectively.

As Conference 1 came to an end, what future awaits for those teams in the second conference that are vying for the seven remaining slots?
