GEST enters Dota 2

If the DotA action provided by the Gigabyte™ E-Sport Tournament gave us jaw-dropping and awesome display competitive gaming in the South-East Asian region hasn't satisfied your craving then prepare yourselves for more as the Gigabyte™ Esport Tournament takes everything to whole new level!

To prove that the South-East Asian DotA community is ready for the "Big Shift", the GEST DotA2 will have a prize pool of 1500USD for all the 16 eligible teams... But that's not all! After the champion and runner-up teams have been determined already, the said teams will then compete with the Chinese powerhouse teams of LGD and IG (Invictus Gaming) for another set of brand spanking 1500USD prize pool.

With regards to the 16 eligible teams, the first 10 slots have been filled up already because of the invited teams for the said tournament. And these teams are:

  iZone Gigabyte   MUFC
  Mineski HyperX    Zenith
  MiTH Trust   Armageddon
  iDeal Gigabyte   Natural 9

Furthermore, the remaining 6 slots will be given to those that will undergo qualifying tournaments under the "Rising Star" (5 invited teams, and the winning team on this batch will have a guaranteed spot) and the "Regional" qualifiers (a 32-team single elimination format that will be held in the Malaysian, Philippine, Indonesian, and Thai regions respectively).

And after the said qualifiers, the 6 teams under it will then compete with the invited teams under a single-elimination format for the top spot. And being regarded as the "Biggest South-East Asian Tournament" out there, DotA Talk will be the one to cover this most-awaited tournament in the region!
