3 Gaming titles, Hundred of players, 1 Goal: To represent the country in the upcoming WCG Asia Championship 2012.
It was another fun and exciting weekends for E-sports as Rapture Gaming with Mineski Infinity choosed the country's representatives for WCG Asia.
3 players set themselves to this cyber football game to outskill and out-strategized their opponent to score a goal at the WCG.
All the players fought in a round-robin format where the player with the best standing will fly to Malaysia. As the dust settled, Adrian Jamias emerged the champion with 2-0 standing.
|Philip John Dacuan||1-1|
|Israel Calces Magante||0-2|
TEKKEN 6: Blood Rebellion
The fighting games community showed their presence and support to E-Sports as 32 players fight their way-out in a bloody fist-by-fist tekken matches.
The 32 players were divided to 8 teams of four where the top 2 with the best standings advances to the Ro16.
Round of 16
The top 16 players who advanced fought on a single-elims Best-of-5 bracket.
Jeff's Steve versus Graham's Jin.
The finals is a fight worthy to be called a "finale". After going through a needle-hole, Graham fought his way up to meet Jeff, The 2009 Tekken 6: BR representative on New Zealand, in the finals. Graham almost didn't make it to the RO16 due to the triple - tie group stage but his head to head scores put him on the top of the groups and he went through the RO16.
Matches were always as tight as it can be, everybody were glued to the screen and you can hear heartbeat races as the grueling Bo11 finals goes on. Combos were thrown, counters were made but with amazing reflexes and timings, Jeffrey Gonzales' Steve defeated Graham's Jin with a score of 6-5 to close the deal on the nail-biting finals and to represent the Philippines once again to the International scene.
It's the start of the process of choosing the best team to represent our country on Malaysia. 25 teams were divided into 4 groups on where the top 2 teams with the best standing for each group will advance to the Ro8. An online elimination were made so that everybody in the Philippines can participate.
DOTA 2 BRACKETS
ROUND OF 8
Mineski.HyperX, Ouroboros, Nostalgia, FRD, Yosh +4, Nib Ecreoc, Coercebin and JG made it to the Round of 8 and fought in a Best-of-1 Single Elims with a Bo3 Finals Bracket.
Mineski.Powercolor to stand in Mineski.HyperX
Many fans were confused why the players of Mineski.Powercolor (Dota 1 team) were playing as Mineski.HyperX (Dota 2 Team). Mr.Swish and Lutan are currently in the US and cannot make it. The management of Mineski let Mineski.Powercolor play as Mineski.HyperX.
Mineski.HyperX won over Coercebin.
Mineski.HyperX won over Coercebin with 2-1 in a very close finals. On the first game, eventhough the laning wasn't that good for them, Mineski's great ganks and micro outmanuevered Coercebin's laning advantage.
On the 2nd game, the All int push-type line up of Mineski wasn't good enough to sweep Coercebin thus pushing the game for a tie-breaker.
On the 3rd game, Mineski went for a very standard pick, countering every hero of Coercebin. It was a great fight but Coercebin was forced to GG as they can't stop Bimbo's Queen of Pain.
May we all cheer Adrian Jamias, Jeffrey Gonzales and Mineski.HyperX as they fly to Malaysia to represent the country at the WCG Asia 2012. Tiwala lang, Bus yan!
