
This first week of August, prepare to grasp a rare opportunity as this may be your chance to be the next Philippine representative in World Cyber Games Asian Championship 2012 (WCG AC '12)!
WCG AC '12 is set at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre this September 7-9 2012 and features ten participating countries (Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, China, Mongolia, India, and Philippines).
This year will see competition in three various game categories: Dota 2, FIFA 12 and Tekken 6.
This August 4-5, Rapture Philippines brings to you the Philippine Qualifiers to be held at Mineski Infinity Taft.

REGISTRATION PROCESS
Walk-in registration:
Walk-in registration will be available during the event day.
- Go to Mineski Infinity and ask for the registration forms from the marshal’s desk.
- Fill-up and sign the forms then submit.
- Wait for the event to start and listen to the opening remarks.
Online Registrations:
Note: Registering online only guarantees your participation if you come to the event within the hour following the call time. For Dota 2, your team must be complete (at least 5 members) upon your arrival.
Online reservations will be open starting today until the event day.

Group Stage
- Players are placed in separate groups. Each of those groups plays in a round-robin style so that everyone plays everyone else inside their respective groups. The top 2 players from each group enter into the Bracket Phase.
Elimination Stage
- Classic 8 man single-elimination tournament.

- Group Stage: Best of 1

Substitutions
- Two substitution players are allowed for each team.
- The substitute players are not allowed to play for other teams before/after in the course of the tournament.
Coin Toss
- Winner: Selects Radiant / Dire OR First / Second Hero Ban & Pick
- Team that plays the Radiant will host the game
Backdooring

Backdooring is allowed.
Item Sharing
- Sharing of item is allowed as long as the game permits.
- Gamers are not allowed to suicide to pass Rapier intentionally.

Abuse & Exploitation
- Trees Trapping: intentionally trapping enemies in trees is not allowed
- Pause Abuse: From the point after hero selection process is completed, pausing without any valid reason is disallowed.
- Creep Blocking: Creep blocking (such as using Chen’s creeps to block the entrance to the base disallowing creeps from moving down the lane completely) is not allowed. Creep slowing is allowed (such as moving in front of the creeps in zigzag manner to slow their progress or using fissure) is allowed.
- Bug Exploitation: Exploitation of any known or newly discovered bug during the match will result in an immediate disqualification of the team. Excuses will not be entertained. Not knowing the bug is not an excuse, competitors are expected to know the current bugs

Anything abnormal which will give a competitor / team an unfair advantage. Anything which will cause interruption / fatal error to the game
Penalties

- Warning: After a warning was given the game goes on. If there warnings are accumulated by the team during the match the team will be disqualified from the tournament
- Game Loss: Game loss given to a team means that the team will automatically lose the game irrelevantly of the actual match result if such took place
- Disqualifications: A team disqualification will lead to the team being ejected from the tournament. They will not be allowed to take part in the current event.

- Half Length: 6 minutes
- Match type: League (see below)
- Game speed: Normal
Draw
- When score is draw and going into overtime, the golden goal will decide the winner. This is the first goal made after overtime. (In case of a draw, a new match will be played and the first player to score have won the match.)
- No custom corners or custom formations allowed.
How to invite a player to a league game
- Create a League and give the name and password to your opponent (Online-> Custom Games -> Create/Join League).
- Your opponent can now join the league by searching it.
- After he joins the league, he or you can invite to play the match.

Character Selection
- The player must notify the referee of the characters that he/she will use before the match starts.
- The player may not change character after the match is started.
- No Character customizations are allowed.

Personal equipments such as arcade stick are allowed.
Unfair play
- The XBOX Guide button must not be pressed during the game. Should the button be pressed, the offending player will lose that round by default.Should any intentional hardware reset occur, the referee may decide to end the match with the offending player receiving a default loss.Should two players agree to a rematch in order to solve any game related problem, a rematch shall be played.
- The following actions will be considered unfair play:
- The use of any cheat program
- Intentional disconnection
- The use of any settings exceeding the standard and permitted settings
- Clearly allowing one’s opponent to win a match.
- If a referee decides that external conditions (Press, Team Leader, Player, Spectator, etc) are giving or have given an unfair advantage to a player, the player may be given a warning or lose by default at the referee’s sole discretion.
- Unsportsmanlike behavior or, in general, disruptive (e.g., shouting), inappropriate and/or unprofessional actions directed towards another player (even inside the game).
- The use of a program bug that is determined by the board of referees as being unfair.
- Upon discovery of any player committing any violations regarded as unfair play, the offending player, at the sole discretion of the board of referees, may receive a warning, a forfeit loss or, in extreme cases, be disqualified from the tournament.
- During the course of the event, the board of referees may determine other actions to embody unfair play.
