Last year, the country saw the first ever Pinoy Gaming Festival, where top eSports competitors and fans alike gathered at SM North to celebrate and culminate the country's competitive gaming culture. This summer it is is back, in the form of the PGF - Summer Assembly. A new perspective will be given priority, as Collegiate Gamers from various universities and colleges have been invited to participate in front of a live audience in what is to be the National Collegiate Cyber League - Playoffs. The top finishers will not only compete for school pride, but for a whopping 60,000 PHP prize pool as well.

Aside from the NCCL, the PGF - Summer Assembly will also feature invitationals for two of the hottest games in eSports at the moment: Dota 2 and StarCraft II. The Dota 2 Invitational will once again pit top teams amongst one another. On the other hand, the StarCraft II Invitational will once again be contested by the top micro-macro players of the country.

All these and more, are in store for YOU, the eSports fans, as PGF will also be giving out Dota 2 beta keys, Mineski Ballers, and even ASUS and nVidia giveaways! Read on to discover more about this exciting event.

NCCL Season 1 P60,000 Playoffs

The very first collegiate league for e-sports will now put up a grand finale! The National Cyber Collegiate League playoffs locks 12 competitive universities/colleges into a fight for school pride and take a share off the whopping P60,000 prize pool. The respective team representatives are in for a real treat in this very rare and first of its kind occassion.

The StarCraft II juggernauts are also with us in this summer event as eight Class S players square off in the most fast-paced and unforgiving game. Recently, the all-time favorite, BenQ-Mski.EnDerr has shown signs of shakiness in his play against fellow Filipino players. Only time will tell if still got it or the others have caught up and closed the skill gap.
