Last January 29, all DotA fans in our country once again witnessed an exciting, jaw-dropping, and nail-biting matches at the recently concluded Gigabyte™ Mineski Pro Gaming League 4-1 at Mineski Infinity Taft. Here's a quick recap of what happened at the tournament.
118 teams joined Class A; MyTwist champ

A total of 118 teams showed-up for the Class A division of GMPGL last Sunday. All participating teams, vying for the Championship title, have undergone a single-elimination bracketing system that resulted to a total of 14 brackets on the said division. From the said number of participants, only 2 teams, Team Kwan and Team My Twist stood among all the others and competed for the championship title. Both teams proved that they are worthy of their spot at the crown, but My Twist proved to team Kwan that they should be the team at the top among all.
Tantrumz Señoras take Women's Division championship

Four teams participated in the Women's division, namely Tantrumz Señoras ,Theos Girls, DoA, and Aknee. Tantrumz Señoras gained their momentum by advancing to the finals without any loss, and having a twice to beat advantage. With the three remaining teams, DoA fought hard for their spot at the finals by defeating Theos Girls and Aknee. During the first game of the finals, DoA took an early advantage and defeating Tantrumz Señoras, resulting on a do-or-die battle at the second game. But on the second game, Tantrumz Señoras controlled the whole game and eventually defeated Doa for the Championship title.
Class S teams showcase their skill
Eight Teams that are considered to be the best teams in the local scene were included in the said division. And these teams were Sweetopia, Turboratz, MI.PowerColor, TheNet.Execration, Dreamz.Ledion, IZone^125, ARW.PCG, and Revitalize.Pacific that have undergone a double-elimination system. Current Mineski Infinity Las Piñas champion Team ARW.PCG, that included former Mineski Grounds player Richard “Paseo” Minowa were among the first two teams that left the said division early alongside with Turboratz. The next two teams that left the said division were Dreamz.Ledion and IZone^125, that were defeated by Execration and Sweetopia respectively. When Execration and Sweetopia faced for a spot at the Loser’s bracket finals, Sweetopia won against Execration and took the spot at the Loser’s bracket finals to face Revitalize. Sadly, Sweetopia was sent home by Revitalize, losing their hopes for a spot at the finals against MI.PowerColor.
Revitalize.Pcfc takes out MI.PowerColor

Before the two teams met at the finals, the said teams got an early momentum by defeating all the teams that they’ve faced in the Winner’s bracket and took the two spots in the Winner’s bracket finals. MI.PowerColor took the first blood against Revitalize.Pacific and sent the said team in the Loser’s Bracket finals and got a twice-to-beat advantage. Revitalize then faced Sweetopia in the Loser’s bracket finals and defeated them to face MI.PowerColor at the finals. During the first game of the finals, Revitalize defeated MI.PowerColor to force a do-or-die battle at the second game.
During the second game of the finals, both teams showed their will to win, their determination to be on top, and their desire to be crowned as champions by giving the fans that are watching inside Mineski Infinity Taft, and those who are watching thru live stream a one-of-a kind match that shall truly be remembered in the local DotA scene. MI.PowerColor took the early advantage because of their early item build-ups. But Revitalize made the whole match a late game, made the items that they needed, eventually turned the tides and defeated MI.PowerColor for the Championship Title.
