Introducing Class S/A System

This system is for MPGL Luzon only.

In light of the growing Philippine gaming community, a lot of players have become seasoned veterans and newbies from every corner are continuously pouring in. Of course it would be outright unfair to have the masters face the new guys right off the bat.

The following are not allowed to participate in Class A tournaments:

Current DotA Class S:

  1. MI.PowerColor
  2. IZONE^125
  3. Dreamz.Ledion
  4. Revitalize
  5. TheNet.Execration
  6. TBA
  7. TBA
  8. TBA

Current SC2 Class S:

  1. Mski.EnDerr
  2. eXo.NUKS
  3. Mski.WaningMoon
  4. Mski.JaBiTo
  5. Mski.Pobbes
  6. eXo.Heathen
  7. eXo.BLaZeR
  8. eXo.LynXeR
Everyone else is considered Class A.

How to become Class S?

Becoming one with the pro's would be a task. You have to be on the top of the Class A tournament then you'll have the chance to challenge the bottom of the Class S for the slot in what we call Up/Down matches.

Winning teams in the Up/Down goes to S status or retain it if they are already in Class S, while losing teams goes to A.

Points system for GMPGL Ranking

The classic points system is still here and nothing has changed. Top 8 of each tournament will receive points to determine their seasonal ranking to see how much they measure up against other competitors. This pointing system will apply on all regions except for the Class A division in Luzon.

Rank Points
1st 25
2nd 18
3rd 15
4th 12
5th 10
6th 8
7th 6
8th 4

So other than ranking, what else are they for? Top 3 will get automatic qualification to the GMPGL Grand Finals to be held this October.

GMPGL Final 8

GMPGL Luzon 1st
GMPGL Luzon 2nd
GMPGL Luzon 3rd
GMPGL Visayas 1st
GMPGL Mindanao 1st
Secret Event
GMPGL Wild Card 1st
PGF Open Bracket 1st

GMPGL-DotA Grand Finals champion (regardless of points) will be sent to SMM.

Message from the Director

Last year we have been blessed with a lot of e-sports events and Pinoy Games Festival was a dream come true for us. Today marks another new and exciting year for e-sports, as we once again host together with our official partner Gigabyte and our official gaming gear Razer the yearly Mineski Pro-Gaming League now on it's 4th season, this year DotA and SC2 are the official games to be launched and we have 2 guest games that will be coming into the league in the next few months.

We want our Filipino gamers to know that we are doing our best to secure an FPS genre so please be patient. The league will still push on every weekend of every month until the grand finals PGF 2012, we did some minor tweaking on the schedule. Luzon MPGL is slightly different from MPGL Visayas and Mindanao because there is another IMBA nationwide e-sports event that will happen side by side with MPGL. Details on this new league will soon be announced.

G-MPGL will still send representatives to SMM 2012, as we have done so for the past 2 years. The performance of last year's PH representative: MI.PColor, placing 3rd on SMM 2011 is proof that this simple 10-month league truly has helped PH teams grow stronger as they prepare to face their international counterparts. I'm sure everyone is excited to see this event once again. So in behalf of the whole Mineski Organization and Mineski Events Team we welcome you to GMPGL 2012!

2012 na! Time to shine PH! Bus yan!
